I've been getting over a head cold. Today, as I was driving, I caught Janis Joplin's "Bobby McGee" on the radio. As I started singing along, I realized I have just the right amount of scratchy voice to sing it right! So, I could sing the not-scratchy parts (because they were in just the right range) and then, I could sing scratchy! Don't get me wrong, I know I actually sounded like someone strangling a duck during the parts where I "sang" the scratchy bits, but it was fun to pretend I could do it! :D I love Janis Joplin.
