Last, but not least: dancing! Mom and I watched Burlesque the other day and loved it! It reminded me how much fun it was to perform (and compete) in dance. Now, I'm craving it. It didn't take much looking to find a performing ballroom group in the area. Bonus: it's Latin Ballroom! Perfect!
I haven't auditioned yet, but if there were a type of dance I could audition well for* this would be it! I'm hopeful. If I don't make it, then I'm less likely to be totally overwhelmed with this schedule (especially since I hope to get a job and still keep this all up. . . maybe I'm crazy—we'll see!). If I do make it, then, holy crap: I will have auditioned well for dance! That'll be a first!!
*There might not be a kind of dance I can audition well for. I love to practice—I'll practice for hours—and I'll eventually be decent at it. However, I am the slowest dance-learner ever. So, when it comes to auditioning, where you learn a dance and then perform it, I tend to bomb out. I probably need to learn how to learn that type of dance first. . . Which is why I hope I stand a chance for this one. I should practice it first, though. . . it's been nearly 7 years!
