I've joined a DIY biology group. I'm going to their classes and now volunteering at the front desk and with staffing. I LOVE this group! They really want to make lab science available to people in the way that hackerspaces make technology available. The whole start-up-incubator effect is kind of cool, too.
Plus, maybe it'll help me find someone I can work for in the biotechnology/biomedical field? A gal can hope.
