The Best Thing Ever!

Okay, probably not, but it's awesome, anyway. I'd been hearing about how frozen bananas can be mashed up into the consistency and texture of ice cream for a while. Then, my cousin Tara posted about it on her blog and said she put chocolate chips and (wal?)nuts in it to make Chunky Monkey "Ice Cream." (Not because she's vegan, but because she's great at making fruits and veggies fun.) It's my favorite treat ever! Well. . . brownies are still my favorite, but this is a really close second!

Here's what I do:
1. Unpeel bananas (at least 3).
2. Put bananas in gallon-size freezer bag
3. After several hours (I usually wait over night), take out some bananas.
4. Put the bananas on a cutting board. If they're super frozen, you have to let them defrost a little, and then MASH THE HELL OUT OF THEM.
5. Put the mashed bananas in an ice cream bowl.
6. Put in chopped nuts and mashed up chocolate chips to your hearts desire.
7. Try not to die from how amazing this is.

OR, here's an alternative I've tried with a little success in my blender, and I hear a food processor works great for this.

Steps 1-3 are the same as above.
4. Stick bananas in the blender/food-processor.
5. Do whatever it takes to blend/process them correctly (still figuring this out. . . I'm getting close)
6. Either add the fixin's in and mix/blend them or just add them in afterward and don't blend.
7. SOFT SERVE BANANAS!

Oh. My. Heavens. (I know, that's punctuation's so 2005 but nothing else worked!) This is the coolest treat ever. It tastes like ice cream only better and it's way healthier. Plus, it's almost no effort! Win-win!
