Ken and Lynn came out for a visit last night and this morning. It was nice to visit with them and we got to go out for dinner, which was fun!

We're going to get a cousin of a cousin to do some cupcakes for Jake's birthday. Melissa's making an awesome cake for the kid's party Saturday and then we're bringing these for the more grown-up party on Sunday. I've been wanting to order from her for a really long time now: her stuff looks amazing! We're getting chocolate suede cupcakes with ermine frosting and pound-cupcakes with lemon curd filling and raspberry buttercream frosting. Doesn't it make your mouth water just thinking about them? Maybe that's just the foodie in me.

Another random piece of information: my toe has been numb for two days now. Mostly just the bottom. I couldn't figure out why until I was washing it and realize that it responds when I put pressure on a spot where someone accidentally stomped on me a few weeks ago. Why it would take *weeks* to start being numb is beyond me, but it isn't debilitating or anything. Just mildly annoying. Hopefully some massage will work it out a little.
