Shorter hair cuts need more cut-maintenance. However, I have clippers, scissors, a little know how and a willing husband, so that makes it easier.
Also, I use 1/4 of the shampoo I used to and take 1/2 the time in the shower. . . so. . .I dunno, I think it evens out.

what about styling time?
Oh yeah! I do have to style it every day, which is different. Probably 5-10 minutes, including dry-time.
When my hair was long it took 15-45 minutes to dry my hair (depending how soon after my shower I dried it), but I didn't dry it every day. I think it might take less time to style my hair than I spent brushing it (throughout the day), though. . . lol
